Inside the Freedom Tree brithing clinic Semebhun-Tabema Children in Semebhun-Tabema

Sembehun-Tabema is a village within the Tinkoko Chiefdom, very close to Bo (around 30km away). It has a population of about 2000 people, and Freedom Tree has worked consistently in this community since the summer of 2013. There has been great progress in the reduction of maternal and infant mortality, particularly because of the construction of a birthing clinic, the first birthing clinic Freedom Tree constructed.

The Five Pillar Approach

When Freedom Tree works in a village, we measure development in each of the five pillars. The more we engage the community, the higher the scores, which results in reduction of maternal and infant mortality.
