At Freedom Tree, our mission is to provide every individual, family, and community in Sierra Leone with the opportunity to fulfill their purpose and become world changers. Our programs are built on five core pillars: Healthcare, Education, Infrastructure, Social Practices, and Community Ownership. Through these pillars, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. Join us as we explore each pillar and the impact it is having on the ground.

1. Healthcare

Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, yet many in Sierra Leone face significant barriers. At Freedom Tree, we are dedicated to improving healthcare services through the establishment of clinics, the provision of essential medical supplies, and the training of healthcare professionals. Our Mobile Health Clinics, brings medical care to remote villages, ensuring that no one is left behind. This program has already saved countless lives and continues to be a beacon of hope for many.

2. Education

Education is the cornerstone of development and empowerment. Our educational programs focus on building and renovating schools, providing learning materials, and training teachers. We believe that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their circumstances. Our Future Leaders Scholarship Programs, which supports outstanding students in their pursuit of higher education. This program not only nurtures young minds but also prepares them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

3. Infrastructure

Robust infrastructure is essential for the growth and prosperity of any community. We work on various infrastructure projects, including schools and health clinics. By building strong infrastructure, we are laying the foundation for sustainable development in Sierra Leone. We currently are working on the Bhlama School Building.

4. Social Practices

Promoting positive social practices is crucial for fostering a cohesive and resilient society. Our programs aim to address social issues such as gender equality, human rights, and cultural preservation. We conduct workshops and community dialogues to raise awareness and drive social change. We focus on women’s empowerment and gender equality, which has creating meaningful change in communities across Sierra Leone.

5. Community Ownership

True progress is achieved when communities take ownership of their development. We empower local communities by involving them in decision-making processes and providing the tools and resources they need to thrive. This approach ensures that the benefits of our programs are long-lasting and that communities are equipped to continue their development independently.
